We had the pleasure of Hiro giving us a tour of the Nishiki Market. Unfortunately we had a tight schedule and Hiro went out of his way to accommodate our timeline. Not only did we learn so much about local cuisine we were also provided several suggestions on tips on other things to do in the area. Hiro is very interesting and a great conversationalist. We will definitely take his evening tour next time we are in Japan. Thanks Again Hiro.

We had a great time hanging out with Bruce and trying all the delicious food! It was awesome to have a local expert with us to make recommendations, help order the food, and show us places we wouldn’t have found otherwise.

Bruce was an outstanding food tour guide in Fukuoka! His passion for the city and it's food scene was clear from the start. He took us to a local yatai that he's been going to for decades that had a super friendly staff and great bites! The highlight was the ramen shop he introduced us to — it was hands down the best ramen we've ever had! Bruce shared interesting insights about the food, the culture, and the local specialties, making the experience even more enjoyable. He was friendly, informative, and made sure we had a great time. It felt like grabbing dinner with a friend who was showing you around. If you’re in Fukuoka and want to explore its food, Bruce is the guide to choose! Highly recommended!

This tour without a doubt was a dream come true! I highly, highly, and I mean HIGHLY recommend taking the Yatai Food Tour. You get what you pay for and if you're a foodie, if you're a lover of the local scene, if you can't read and speak Japanese... You want to pay for this tour! Not only was visiting the Yatai's amazing and delicious, Bruce was a blast. Personable, accommodating, funny, and overall a great conversationalist with lots of insight and years of knowledge on all things Japan. It goes without saying but the guidance and access Bruce brought to the table was invaluable and the sampling so much food with dietary restrictions would not have been possible without his help. Did I mention his picks were delicious?! A big thank you to Bruce and the By Food Team for creating such wonderful experiences at an affordable price!
