Amazing experience and a must when in Kyoto. Aya opened her house to our family and allowed to experience first hand a beautiful tradition. Make sure you spend time to select and bring back home a hand crafted and unique tea cup.

The tea ceremony was great! We learned a lot, had some great sweets and delicious tea!

We really wanted to do a tea ceremony in a more intimate setting and Aya exceeded our expectations. It was very interesting to learn some background knowledge and the tea room itself with the cute little garden was so pretty. If you are in Kyoto, I can recommend it 100%. Better to pay a little more, it was one of the best experiences we had in Japan. Many thanks to Aya

This was a great experience. We learned so much, and had a great time. We were able to take photos, as well as given photos the host recorded during our visit for us. Our host was very knowledgeable in the history and cultural importance and we are very grateful for the chance to be welcomed in her home to learn from her decades of expertise!
