Experience Details
The Shiroi Koibito (aka “White Sweetheart”) is a European-style langues de chat cookie and one of the most iconic souvenirs you can buy from Japan. Originating from Hokkaido, this delicate cookie quickly won over the hearts (and taste buds) of Japanese people and tourists alike and is now beloved throughout Japan. Join this private, door-to-door tour to learn how to make Shiroi Koibito cookies at Shiroi Koibito Park–A ‘chocolate entertainment park’ in Sapporo, Hokkaido. The park houses a variety of attractions, such as the Ishiya Museum, Shiroi Koibito railway site, and the Dream Kitchen sweets workshop.
Once you’ve arrived at the designated meeting point, a taxi will pick you up to take you to Shiroi Koibito Park. Upon arrival, you’ll tour the factory before getting in on the action to make a big Shiroi Koibito cookie! Let your cookie-making heart run wild as you decorate your Shiroi Koibito using colorful chocolate pens. The entire experience will last roughly 4 hours, with the cookie-making portion taking about 60 minutes.
Once you’ve baked and decorated your cookie, it’s time to part ways with Shiroi Koibito Park (sweet treats in hand) as an allocated taxi takes you back to the meeting point.
Although Shiroi Koibito Park welcomes tourists from overseas, please see below for an additional package available (at an extra cost) that includes a private English-speaking guide that will be dedicated to you for the duration of the experience.
If the experience time exceeds 4 hours and 10 mins due to customer circumstances, an additional fee of 2,000/hour per taxi will be charged.
