Experience Details
Sushi rolls are deliciously filling. Trying to make some yourself may seem intimidating, but anything is possible when you’ve got a friendly cooking instructor to teach you the ways. This sushi-making class is one for home chefs ready to take on the challenge.
Yuki, your host, is a professional cooking instructor. She studied the principles of washoku (traditional Japanese cuisine) from a professional chef who used to cook for the Japanese imperial family and celebrities. Yuki has appeared on Japanese TV many times, and loves to share her knowledge of washoku, or Japanese cuisine. Let her guide you through making not only yummy but beautiful sushi rolls in this hands-on experience.
You’ll also learn a great deal about washoku, and how traditional Japanese cuisine is engrained in everyday life. In addition to newly picked up cooking skills (and a take-home recipe to prove it), you’ll have lots of interesting info to share with your friends and family back home. The host carefully selects the ingredients you’ll use. And even though you’ll be making colorful sushi rolls, this cooking class doesn’t use artificial food coloring, so guests will also learn how to dye rice a vibrant shade of pink!
