Experience Details
For a dish that’s so readily available in Japan, gyoza dumplings can be surprisingly difficult to make. From kneading the dough the right way to filling each and cooking them to a perfect crisp, it takes someone well-versed in the intricacies of Japanese cuisine to whip up a well-cooked batch of these popular dumplings.
The effort is worth it, however, once you’re in front of a steamy dish of gyoza, the savory smell of ground meat and onion is still in the air from cooking, and you take that first bite.
Learn to make gyoza from scratch in this class led by experienced culinary industry professionals who will share their best cooking secrets. Your hosts will guide you through the entire process: you’ll understand how to mix in the dough ingredients, knead it so that it becomes elastic, cut the wrappers and fill them. You’ll use a traditional gyoza filling with ground meat and vegetables for an authentic result. Then, it’ll be time to place the gyoza in a pan and cook them until the bottom turns golden brown. At this point, you’ll be ready to enjoy your delicious dumplings!
