I’m so glad we went with Hiroshi through the market. We tasted more and learned more than we would have just walking through on our own. We did not leave the tour hungry. Hiroshi recommended a restaurant for dinner and even made a reservation for us. Dinner was amazing too.

I had a wonderful experience with Midori-san. I enjoyed a local tour with her as my guide, and she was very informative, attentive, and considerate of all my needs. Midori-san also runs her cooking classes and offers many other tours. I highly recommend trying her classes to experience authentic Japanese cuisine and learn many fascinating facts about Kyoto. The tea ceremony was a delightful experience. Our hostess was incredibly knowledgeable about the art of tea preparation, and she guided us in making our own matcha using the techniques she taught. We were so inspired that we purchased a matcha whisk and matcha powder afterward to continue practicing at home.

Amazing experience, Aya lives and breathes everything she teaches. I can only be greatful to be invited to someones house and to be received with such elegance and courtesy. Thank you so much for everything. 100% Recommended.
