Bruce is a master host. Not only did he take us to amazing yatais (we're still dreaming about ramen and mochi-wrapped bacon), he provided just the right mix of information, entertainment, and good old-fashioned conversation throughout the evening. Also, his longstanding relationships with the yatai operators were evident - and heartwarming to see. Touring with Bruce was definitely a highlight of our trip!

Bruce and Ling were great, knowledgeable guides! We booked the izakaya and ramen tour and they showed us some great hidden spots we never would have thought to visit, and the food was excellent. Recommend booking a tour at the start of your stay in Fukuoka so they can provide other recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit.

It was great meeting Bruce; the conversation was easy. It was interesting to hear his perspective, as he has lived in Japan for nearly forty years. The restaurants we visited were top-notch. Both were off the beaten path; it is difficult to imagine finding them on my own.

The food and ambiance were fantastic, and you could tell everyone was really enjoying themselves! The first yatai was truly life-changing—the food was incredible, and the owner was so kind. We had a wonderful time chatting, not only with each other but also with the people around us. Bruce was amazing! He ensured everyone was having a great time, recommending the best dishes at each spot. His friendly and approachable nature made it easy for him to connect with others, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.
