Sushi Otowa
Enter the home of a sushi power couple in residential Yokohama.
Restaurant Details
This Yokohama sushi shop is housed in a residential area, a far cry from the towers and offices of Ginza. The quality of their sushi, however, can rival the kitchens of that famous part of Tokyo.
The restaurant is on the second floor of a detached building, where the husband and wife team who run it also live. The interior of the restaurant part of the house is simple and elegant, with a calming atmosphere.
Here they serve up an omakase (chef’s choice) menu featuring fish which is mainly caught from the waters off the coast of Yokohama.

Restaurant location
Nestled below the bustling city of Tokyo, Kanagawa Prefecture is as diverse in its environment as its food is delicious; Kanagawa offers Chinese street food and craft beer in Yokohama and fresh seafood from Kamakura and Enoshima, as well as natural beauty and mountainous produce in the hot spring town of Hakone near the base of Mount Fuji.
We strive to be as accurate as possible and keep up with the changing landscape of Japan’s food and travel industries. If you spot any inaccuracies, please send a report.
