Les Six
Sharing the same building with Azabu’s beloved pizzeria, Buganville Hiroo, Bib Gourmand-awarded Les Six is a cozy bistro helmed by Chef Maruyama Yuta.
Restaurant Details
In the upscale neighborhood of Hiroo in Tokyo, Les Six changes its blackboard a la carte menu regularly in true French bistro spirit.
Les Six’s owner-chef, Maruyama Yuta, is the sole chef at the restaurant, which he opened in 2024 after honing his skills at the acclaimed Mille Etes and La Tache in Tokyo, as well as in Beaune, Burgundy. In a full-circle moment, he has returned to Hiroo, his hometown, to launch his first culinary concept.
Diners at Les Six can start with charcuterie and choose a main dish of meat or fish, accompanied by homemade bread and a selection of wine. Some dishes can be ordered in half portions, but the highlights include duck breast paired with a classic red wine sauce and a terrine of eel and scallop mousse. The mains are equally straightforward yet satisfying, featuring roast lamb, beef cheek stewed in red wine, and beautifully prepared black sea bream. Guests can mix and match entrees, mains and desserts to create a personalized dining experience.
The restaurant offers three tables and a few seats at the counter facing the open kitchen. Going up to the second floor to enter Les Six can feel like going to a friend’s home. The relaxed atmosphere is ideal for a catch-up with friends or a romantic date.
