Chikushitei
A kaiseki restaurant which has been standing for over 100 years, where you can enjoy the best seafood that Nakatsu has to offer.
Restaurant Details
Located in the town of Nakatsu, this kaiseki restaurant serves up the best fish that they have to offer — sea bass, flounder, blue crab, and dozens of other varieties. Pike conger eel is their speciality, served both in sushi and shabu shabu hotpot.
The business has been running for over 100 years, and the building itself is even designated as a national cultural site. In fact, it’s the only original restaurant in town still standing from the pre-war days. All guests are given private rooms with windows looking out onto the well kept garden space.
Despite their long history and lofty reputation, you can enjoy a lunch meal here for a very reasonable price. If you’d rather treat yourself, why not opt for the full kaiseki dinner to get the full picture of this region's delicious seafood?
