Experience Details
In 1958, one of Japan's most celebrated comfort foods was born. That was the year that Momofuku Ando invented Chicken Ramen, the world's first instant ramen, which would evolve to become the staple food of university students across the globe. A few years later, he invented the world's first portable instant ramen in a cup, and the instant ramen sensation took ablaze. But how did these inventions come about, and why?
At the Cup Noodles Museum in Yokohama, you will get the chance to learn about the history of instant ramen and the achievements of Momofuku Ando, the founder of Nissin Foods and creator of instant ramen. Your guide will lead you through the interactive exhibits and teach you about the production of instant ramen and the different noodle dishes worldwide. You will get the opportunity to see a replica of the work shed where he invented instant ramen, and you will also get to create your own cup noodles recipe and package at the My Cup Noodles Factory, where you can choose from different soup bases and toppings and decorate your very own cup. Get ready to fall in love with instant ramen all over again!
