Experience Details
The lights and excitement of Shibuya and Shinjuku are definitely things to tick off on your Tokyo bucket list, but how about exploring a different side of the city? Join the Local Tokyo Food and Drink Tour to experience a deeper side of Tokyo through food! Over the course of 3 hours, you’ll visit 3 different standing bars, which are called “tachinomi” in Japanese. They are a typical style of bar enjoyed by Tokyo locals and salarymen, who spend the evening enjoying a few cold ones after long day at the office. This style of izakaya (Japanese-style pub) offers food too, so you’ll enjoy a full dinner over the course of the night, tasting a range of delicious local Tokyo food along the way at different stops. This tour aims to take you away from the crowds and experience another side of Tokyo, so you can just relax and enjoy a night out as you eat local Japanese food!
In this intimate group tour, you’ll explore 2 lesser-traveled neighborhoods in Tokyo on a night out, starting in Oimachi. It’s a local neighborhood that’s just outside of the center of Tokyo, which serves as a major transit hub, with plenty of places to eat and drink. With cultural insight and help from your local guide, you’ll get a glimpse into local nightlife and food. They will also help you out with any dietary requirements, too! Next, you’ll continue your adventure to another lesser-known area in Tokyo, just a 6-minute train ride away for more eating, drinking, and merry-making, like a local.

Experience Location
Oimachi is a local Tokyo neighborhood in the central Shinagawa Ward area, located a little way south of the crowds of people busily transiting through Shinagawa Station each day. Offering a local Tokyo vibe, Oimachi brims with cheap eats and small bars, and is packed with shopping opportunities as well as smorgasbords on show in the grand department stores around the station. A reasonable transit hub in itself, Oimachi Station connects the Keihintohoku Line, the Tokyu-Oimachi Line, and the Rinkai Line, which conveniently travels to Odaiba, Disneyland, and the city’s eastern seaside.
