Though both of these dishes have origins in China, they have developed into their own genre of comfort food, often containing meat, fish and other animal products. Those who subscribe to vegan diets might have a harder time trying these staple Japanese dishes, but this cooking class was made especially with vegan travelers in mind!
At this exciting yet intimate experience, you will get the chance to learn how to prepare delicious plant-based food from an expert group of mothers and grandmothers who have a wealth of experience in cooking.
Your time in Kanagawa will begin with a simple lesson on useful and easy-to-learn Japanese for traveling. After that, you’ll learn about authentic Japanese home cooking from women who have had culinary knowledge passed down to them from generation to generation. You will have the opportunity to learn how to make ramen and wrap gyoza. At the end of the class, receive the recipe to take home with you. Upon finishing your vegan creations, go ahead and savor your tasty homemade meal.
