What better place to learn how to make ramen and nigiri sushi than one of Japan’s most famous food markets?

In this engaging cooking class, you’ll learn how to make these classic Japanese dishes from friendly English-speaking instructors. You’ll first master all aspects of ramen, from making the broth to preparing melt-in-your-mouth chashu (Japanese-style braised pork belly) and other toppings. Next on the menu will be nigiri sushi — small, hand-molded pieces of vinegared rice usually topped with a thinly sliced topping like seafood or vegetables.


The versatility of both ramen and nigiri makes it easy for the instructors to personalize ingredients and toppings to your dietary preferences, all without sacrificing tradition or flavor. Afterward, enjoy your meal and bask in the views of the market and the Sumida River.

After the class, you can continue your exploration of Japanese foods by visiting the famous Tsukiji Outer Market, brimming with wholesale shops and food stalls.
