Experience Details
Experience the authentic taste of Japanese ramen and gyoza during this gluten-free cooking class in Osaka. You’ll make two different types of ramen and gyoza from scratch, learning authentic cooking techniques passed down for generations and perfected by a professional chef with extensive experience.
The class is led by Chef Yuki and her team. Yuki trained as a chef at a restaurant awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand accolade. She uses her cooking skills to turn traditional dishes into gluten-free alternatives, all while keeping the authentic flavors.
Noodles are at the core of ramen. And, while ramen noodles typically contain gluten, in this class, you’ll use rice flour to make 100% gluten-free bouncy noodles from scratch. Chef Yuki will teach you how to form and cut the noodles, making them as chewy and delicious as in a normal ramen restaurant.
Next, you’ll prepare two different broths for your ramen — soy sauce ramen, a classic staple, and a more modern alternative: a bold yet sophisticated tomato ramen.
You’ll also knead gyoza wrappers using a rice flour mix, shape and cut them, and fill them to make Japanese-style dumplings. Under Chef Yuki’s watchful eye, you’ll cook the gyoza to golden, crispy perfection, picking up useful tips for gluten-free cooking.
By the end of the class, you’ll have two bowls of ramen and a plate of gyoza to enjoy, as well as the recipes, confidence, and skills to recreate the dishes back home.
