Your host, Katsuji, is an industry veteran with over three decades of experience managing a dozen successful izakaya, ramen shops and sushi restaurants. He now utilizes his wealth of Japanese culinary knowledge and experience to teach cooking classes at his Osaka home with his daughter Chiharu. His classes cover a variety of Japanese and Osaka-style dishes, including sushi, ramen and izakaya specialties.

Sushi and Tempura Cooking Class: Guided by your skilled instructor, you’ll perfect the art of sushi rice preparation using the finest ingredients and learn the intricacies of rolling and shaping different types of sushi. Next up on the cooking roster is tempura. Batter and bread shrimp, mushrooms and more before they are all fried to crispy perfection.
