Experience Details
The lit-up streets of Shinjuku are one of the best spots to experience Tokyo’s bustling nightlife. But the towering neon signs and relentless crowds can make it difficult to navigate if you’re not familiar with the area.
So, let a local guide lead you to three distinct food stops in this popular area, where you can savor the sizzling, salty and savory flavors of izakaya cuisine and wash them down with two drinks. You’ll also get to see the highlights of Shinjuku as you stroll through Kabukicho, Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho. Perfect for first-time visitors, this tour will introduce you to authentic Japanese flavors as you explore the city with a local.
You’ll start by heading down the nostalgic alleys of Omoide Yokocho, also known as “Memory Lane,” and discover hidden gems, quirky shops and long-standing bars that are now part of the area’s folk culture.
Your host will take you to three different eateries, each with its unique atmosphere and food and drink specialties while doing their best to accommodate your likes and dislikes and introduce you to new and delicious dishes you might’ve never tried before.
The tour concludes in front of Kabukicho Tower, near Shinjuku Station. You will have the chance to see the famous Godzilla head outside of Toho Cinemas and the amazing 3D cat display near the station before continuing to explore the area on your own.
