Yoshiko
Fugu / Crab / Other Seafood
Private-room Japanese pufferfish dining, at a family restaurant run by a married couple of culinary experts.
Restaurant Details
Japanese fugu (pufferfish) is an ingredient usually reserved for special occasions, but once you’ve tried the dishes at Yoshiko, you’ll be dying to eat them every day (budget permitting, of course)!
This restaurant is a real family affair, passed down to the owner from his father, with his wife on hand as the house sake expert. Together they serve up an outstanding blowfish omakase meal, featuring dishes like fugu karaage, fugu sashimi, grilled fugu shirako, and stone-baked fugu.
Seating is in private dining rooms, with a mix of standard and tatami seating styles. Be sure to reserve in advance, as the chef needs time to source the perfect fish for each sitting, and to start the process of preparing some of the more intricate dishes.
