Inheriting the restaurant from his father after having trained in Kyoto for over twenty years, this second-generation owner-chef is nothing short of admirable. He leads Yaowa with the purpose of not only maintaining the reputation of the restaurant when it was under his father’s care, but also evolving it. Yaowa is a go-to place for Kyo-ryori (Kyoto cuisine) in Saga, and people from near and far travel to relish the authentic flavors of this restaurant.

Not only are the methods of preparation exclusive to Kyo-ryori, but the ingredients are from markets in Kyoto itself. Guests can enjoy seasonal dishes of the most authentic flavors.
