If there were a Tony Award for best culinary one man show, the chef at this top kaiseki restaurant would surely win it.

Restaurant Details

This kaiseki restaurant is a true one man show. The moment you walk through the door, you’ll be greeted personally by the chef-owner who lends the shop his name. Uemura-san will even ask you about your personal preferences to tailor the course meal to your tastes. This impeccable service has made his restaurant one of the hardest to reserve in all of Kobe.

The 11 counter seats are highly coveted, so try to make your booking as early as possible to avoid missing out on this once-in-a-lifetime meal. If you’re lucky enough to land a place here, you’ll be treated to seasonal small plates presented on attractive serving-ware. Highlights in the past have included a lotus root bun with crab and chrysanthemum soup, and Kobe beef with sesame and miso.
