A relaxed and refined hotpot restaurant which also serves up delicate Kyoto-style cuisine — take your pick or enjoy them together.

Restaurant Details

Although you’ll still be smack bang in the middle of Shinjuku, when you step through the doors of this traditional-style Japanese restaurant, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to historic Kyoto. Here you can enjoy sukiyaki and shabu shabu hotpot, along with small kaiseki-style dishes (the kind of small, seasonal plates served at prestigious Kyoto eateries).

The meat used is Hida beef, with a lovely pink color and great marbling. This is cooked in a chicken broth, then dipped in a range of sauces, including a house recipe horseradish sauce. A great range of seasonal vegetables and other fillings are served up to cook in the hotpot too.

If you would prefer to focus entirely on the delicate, seasonal kaiseki dishes, they also offer a full kaiseki course meal in which you’ll sample a whole range of plates over the course of several hours.

There are 11 seats in the regular dining area, and an impressive 16 private rooms too. These are perfect for families, parties, business events, or just about any other occasion imaginable.
