Sushi Akazu Mochizuki
Proving the importance of high-quality ingredients, this welcoming yet luxurious sushiya showcases the best Osaka (and wider Japan) has to offer.
Restaurant Details
This premium sushi restaurant in central Osaka prides itself on its secret house blend of red vinegar used to season their sushi rice. This serves as the bedrock upon which they build a menu — including both course and a la carte options — showcasing premium ingredients from around the country.
Their seasonally-selected seafood comes from Osaka’s famous seafood markets, with fresh catches from the Seto Inland Sea and beyond. To complement it, the chef sources high-grade wasabi and pickled ginger from northern Japan. The result is a meal of familiar combinations, enhanced by the quality of the ingredients.
All of this within an intimate 7-seater premises, where all guests share an L-shaped counter with a view of all the intricate slicing and seasoning on the other side.
