Nene
Authentic Kyo ryori (Kyoto cuisine) without having to leave sunny Kyushu — this kaiseki restaurant recreates the Kyoto style with ease.
Restaurant Details
The chef at this Kumamoto kaiseki restaurant trained in Kyoto, where he met his wife (now his partner in the restaurant trade too, handling the service side of things). Together they bring a true taste of Kyoto to Kumamoto which is sure to transport you straight to the old capital the moment you step through the door.
The menu features Kyo ryori favorites like freshly picked bamboo shoots, and conger eel hotpot. Throughout the year, a range of seasonal ingredients from around the country cycle through their pantry, in keeping with the seasonal sensitivity of authentic kaiseki cooking.
Whatever the occasion, they have a private tatami room to fit, as well as three different levels of set-course menus to suit your budget.
