Miyamoto
Dignified dining at one of Osaka’s best traditional Kyo-ryori restaurants.
Restaurant Details
Dignity circulates through the air at this tea room restaurant in Osaka, which adheres to the kaiseki dining style birthed in the courtly culture of historic Kyoto. Their specialty is the dashi stock which is the base of Japanese cooking — the entire cuisine is elevated by the raising up of its foundation.
Standout dishes include roast Kumamoto beef, steamed seafood, and mochi — a kind of sweet and sticky paste made from crushed rice — to finish. The owner’s parents are rice farmers, and they provide the best of their harvest to the restaurant, ensuring a consistent quality in every dish.
These dishes, along with the world-class hospitality, have won Miyamoto two Michelin stars (2020), and a reputation as one of the best traditional restaurants in Osaka.
