Yamazato (Hotel Okura Kobe)
Sushi
Dine on a variety of Japanese cuisine, from tempura and sushi, in a picturesque Japanese garden in the middle of the Hotel Okura Kobe.
Restaurant Details
Located on the first floor of the Hotel Okura Kobe, this Japanese restaurant offers almost every imaginable type of Japanese cuisine.
Huge floor-to-ceiling windows afford almost every diner in the 100-seater space a beautiful view of the Japanese-style garden outside. There, guests can observe the changing scenery outside as they savor exquisite Kansai kaiseki cuisine, meticulously prepared to represent the essence of each season's flavors.
Nonetheless, a large part of Yamazato’s appeal lies in its sushi and tempura counters. The 11-seat Nishiki tempura counter lets guests enjoy freshly fried seasonal ingredients laid on plates made of hinoki cypress. Meanwhile, sushi enthusiasts can’t afford to miss a meal at the Hamaiso sushi counter, where the expert chefs prepare a beautiful fusion of traditional Edomae technique with local Kansai ingredients. For special occasions and gatherings, there are private rooms ideal for dinner parties and celebratory events.
