Antica Osteria Carneya
Surely no one could turn down this tender, juicy meat, grilled in the Italian style.
Restaurant Details
Surrounded by premium meat his whole life, chef-owner Takayama's ability to distinguish excellent meat from average has been sharpened since he was a little kid. His parents owned a popular Japanese BBQ restaurant, and he gained personal experience training at other restaurants locally as well as in Italy. After returning home he opened his very own Italian restaurant, Antica Osteria Carneya, hidden on a street near Ushigome-Kagurazaka Station.
Any in-the-know meat lover will vouch for this restaurant. Their menu consists of the best meat out there — from milk-fed Hokkaido lamb, pork, chicken, and duck, to game meat including venison and quail. It doesn't get any better than this.
Their omakase meal starts off with red meat, with more adventurous types introduced as the night goes on. Guests are always kept on the edge of their seats awaiting the arrival of their next serving. With Italian cooking techniques to prepare the premium meat acquired for the restaurant, Antica Osteria Carneya is a meat-filled dining stop that every Tokyo-based carnivore needs to experience at least once.
