Nothing is overlooked at Akiyama — from ingredients to presentation. The owner-chef of this traditional restaurant used to train in Osaka at a kaiseki restaurant for years before opening his own. With him, he brought his acquired skills and techniques and combined them with the natural produce of Kurayoshi City in Tottori Prefecture.
This restaurant was once a home and because of that, it creates a relaxing and calm ambiance for the guests. There’s even a traditional Japanese garden on the premises. Everything about the setting fits the cuisine Akiyama serves, made of the freshest ingredients the city can provide, and the chef handpicks everything himself! From wild vegetables in spring that provide a pop of color and flavor to hamo soup in summer, all served on exquisite tableware, Akiyama is definitely a restaurant not to miss out on.
