Description
The lineup of Tomiya Shoten’s Inaniwa udon noodles now includes a beautifully-wrapped version of their 500g noodle pack, perfect as a gift or souvenir representing Akita prefecture. Characterized by its strong texture and firmness, Inaniwa udon has been enjoyed in Japan for the past 400 years. Produced by the Inaniwa area in Akita, it was used by the local wheat-farming villagers as an offering to their feudal lord throughout the mid-1700s. After the Meiji period, this highly prized variety of udon noodle was even delivered to the Imperial Household Agency. Containing 500g of half-cut noodles, this gift-wrapped package contains about 5 servings. It is perfect for those who want to enjoy it on their own, while larger families may want to see our 1kg packages (see our other products from Tomiya Shoten). The shelf life is up to 365 days. Please note that this timeframe may vary depending on shipping timing.

Since then, they have been focusing on sales to department stores in the Kanto and Kansai regions, promoting it as a product of Akita.
