You'll discover the art of chawari (tea-based cocktails) as you indulge in several tea-inspired beverages at Tokyo's renowned tea-based bars. Your knowledgeable host will lead you on a journey where you can savor authentic drinks and deepen your understanding of Japanese tea culture and nightlife.
You'll meet your guide at Gakugei-daigaku Station in Meguro, a trendy area that remains largely undiscovered by tourists, where you can enjoy an authentic night out in the city. From there, you will visit two local hubs serving tea-based cocktails and mocktails paired with light bites infused with tea flavors.
The first bar offers over 100 different tea-based cocktails to suit all tastes, and their specialty dish is fried chicken (karaage), which pairs great with their tea-inspired drinks. The second stop for the evening is a tea specialty bar that serves teas sourced from across Japan. Here, you can observe as a master brews your tea carefully and mindfully, and you can enjoy the full flavors of high-quality tea in cocktails, mocktails, and desserts.
Your guide will teach you insights into Japan's tea culture and nightlife. The tour price includes three drinks and three foods, with additional food and beverages available for purchase at your own expense.
