Led by a local expert, in this unique dining experience you will sample several tea-based foods and drinks, and learn more about the local gourmet scene in the chic district of Gakugeidaigaku in Meguro, central Tokyo.
After meeting your host at Gakugei-daigaku Station, you will walk for about 10 minutes to a local restaurant renowned for its selection of over 30 different types of chawari (tea-based cocktails). In this intimate and contemporary space, you will enjoy a tea workshop where you will prepare various kinds of Japanese tea, including matcha, before enjoying a multi-step dinner on the second floor over conversation with your host.
Your next stop will be a modern tea bar in Daikanyama, a unique concept store from a leading Asian interior design brand. The tea bar exhibits an exceptional assortment of high-quality Asian-designed items. Here, you will unwind as you sip on tea-based beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and Japanese desserts. Your host will be a leading expert on Japanese tea culture who will provide fascinating insights into the art and traditions of Japanese tea.
