Experience Details
Many regions boast of their specialty soba noodle dishes, but few can compete with Nagano Prefecture. According to Japanese mythology, soba was first cultivated in Japan in the ancient province of Shinshu (current-day Nagano), where high-quality buckwheat is still produced. For this reason, no visit to Nagano is complete without trying its famously aromatic soba noodles or, even better, learning to make them yourself!
Making soba noodles from scratch isn’t as easy as it may seem. Buckwheat flour makes the noodles brittle, so including the right balance of wheat and buckwheat flour, knowing the cooking temperature and boiling time proves essential.
Thankfully, your hosts are soba noodle experts who will guide you every step of the way while ensuring a fun cooking atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
