You'll meet one of your hosts at the designated meeting point before heading to the kitchen studio in Shinagawa. Here, you'll have an overview of the cooking class, become acquainted with the ingredients and techniques, and get hands-on cooking following Miyuki's original recipes for classic, tasty bento. The base for your bento will include karaage fried chicken, onigiri rice balls, rolled omelet (tamagoyaki) and green beans with a sesame seed dressing.
You'll enjoy your meal for lunch with Miyuki, who will share fascinating cultural insights about Japan, including table manners and etiquette. After your meal, you'll get to refresh with tea and a seasonal Japanese dessert.
An experienced cooking instructor and certified food coordinator, Miyuki, your host, will share her best Japanese home cooking tips so that you can replicate these recipes and enjoy preparing to-go meals with a Japanese twist.
