A relaxing soba shop in Kusatsu, a famous hot spring town, that serves handmade noodles and fresh local ingredients.

Restaurant Details

Yasueragi-tei is a soba shop located in Kusatsu, a town that is famous for its onsen. The restaurant serves a wide variety of tempura including shrimp, fish, mushrooms and other local vegetables found in the nearby mountains.

In addition to the local ingredients, all the soba noodles served in the shop are all handmade everyday. The soba is served with buckwheat tea in a teapot.

Yasuragi-tei is also known for its friendly service and generous portions. Customers can expect to spend around 2000 yen to get a very fulfilling meal. There is also a special set containing eel, rice, soba, as well as tempura and buckwheat tofu for about 3400 yen.

While the interior design is relatively modern, there is a tatami area with tables for families with young kids to sit at. For any foreign visitors, there is an English menu available.
