Usagiya is a cafe that's located in the Mt. Daisen area, with an appearance that’s akin to a mountainside cottage. The interior of the cafe is spacious and clean, filled with a warm atmosphere.
For lunch, you can choose from their Usagiya lunch plate (1,000 yen) and curry (1,000 yen). The Usagiya plate has various kinds of small dishes that use local seasonal vegetables and mountain vegetables. For their curry, they use beef sinew and vegetables, bringing out the natural umami flavor of the ingredients. For their rice, they use Milky Queen from Daisen-cho.
After your meal, you might want to enjoy something sweet. Their signature is the Usagiya parfait that uses blueberries from their own blueberry farm. Their ice cream and parfait come with a rabbit face drawn on them, a lovely and cute sight to behold.
You can visit a small souvenir shop to purchase their homemade blueberry jam. Usagiya’s blueberries are grown in Mt. Daisen’s beautiful climate, making for delicious berries.
