Nishiazabu Taku
Enjoy late-night Michelin starred sushi dining in one of Tokyo's most vibrant nightlife districts, Nishi-Azabu.
Restaurant Details
While many Michelin-starred sushi restaurants can be overly austere, Taku is a far more relaxing and entertaining space to spend an evening. Located in the vibrant entertainment district of Nishiazabu, this restaurant really buys into the spirit of the district. Here, guests can only enjoy top-class sushi and an extensive range of drinks.
The man behind the counter is Chef Sato. He spent the entirety of his twenties training at some of Japan's top sushi restaurants before opening Taku. Now fully in charge of his own restaurant, he serves up his own omakase course meal with around 10 courses, as well as pairings of shochu, sake or champagne to accompany each. Red and white vinegar are also matched with different varieties of fish.
As is to be expected from a Nishiazabu restaurant, the space itself is stylish, with concrete walls and modern art adorning them. Private rooms are also available for special occasions. This is a perfect place to enjoy some fine sushi, then relax with a glass of wine in hand to chat the night away.
