Sushiya Nobu
Just a short trip from Kobe, the island of Awaji has a well-kept seafood secret you need to try.
Restaurant Details
Awaji Island lies just across a sea bridge from Kobe, and leads on to the island of Shikoku to the west. There’s far more to do here than just pass through, however, with a wealth of historic sites and great dining on offer.
One of the top places to sample the island’s unique seafood culture is Sushiya Nobu in Awaji City, which looks out over Osaka Bay. The omakase (chef’s choice) meal here showcases the best that the island has to offer, with a focus on excellent white fish.
Some local favorites you’ll be served include snapper, turbot, and hamo. For fans of white-fleshed fish, a meal at Sushiya Nobu will probably rank among the best sushi experiences possible.
