Sushi Imamura
Hidden away from the main hustle and bustle areas of Tokyo, this Minato shop’s reputation travels far.
Restaurant Details
Although Sushi Imamura isn’t located in a famous dining area of the capital, it’s still a strong contender for the hearts of Tokyo’s sushi lovers.
This is due in part to their excellent appetizers, including hairy crab, monkfish liver, and grilled saltwater eel. The knife work on the nigiri makes every piece look stunning and taste even better. Take for example the mackerel nigiri — beautiful deep pink flesh, served skin on, with a single lengthways slit to increase the contact area with the tongue.
After course after course of top sushi, the meal finishes with ice cream topped with baked soy bean powder, completing the experience at one of the best hidden treasures on the Tokyo sushi map.
