2020 Michelin-starred French dining in the stylish surroundings of one of Tokyo’s most celebrated luxury hotels.

Restaurant Details

Located in the luxurious and contemporary surroundings of the Mandarin Hotel, this French restaurant is one of a number restaurants on site to hold a Michelin star. The first thing that will strike you is the view. Many seats offer stunning views out over the city which are most beautiful in the evening.

The menu features French cuisine which incorporates Japanese seasonal sensibilities and fresh ingredients. Game meat and wild fish make an appearance, as does high-grade wagyu beef. The chef hails from Australia, with past experience in Europe, so you know he knows great beef. A Japanese touch is added to the steak dishes in the binchotan charcoal they’re cooked over.

This and other dishes are presented with beautiful visuals — colors popping against the sheer white of the plates. As far as luxury French eateries in Tokyo go, Signature at the Mandarin Oriental is one of the best.
