Sakana Cuisine Ryo
Fresh seafood dining in Odawara, as a restaurant recognized by the Michelin Guide for its great value-for-money meals.
Restaurant Details
Just a 1 minute walk from Odawara Station — located just about 30 min from Tokyo by train — this seafood restaurant follows a farm to table (and sea to table) philosophy. They gather their Sagami Bay seafood fresh from the local markets every morning, and source vegetables directly from farmers themselves.
With a full pantry of fresh ingredients, they’re then ready to create fantastic seafood dishes such as rice bowls packed with sashimi toppings, and mixed sushi and sashimi platters. If you like a drink of crisp alcohol to accompany your meals, then you’ll love their range of local Kanagawa Prefecture sake.
For the sheer value for money they provide, Kyo has even been listed in the Michelin Guide with Bib Gourmand status.
The setting is comfortable and contemporary. There are four floors, each with different decor: from classic white tablecloth dining, to more casual seating, to a terrace space for events and outdoor dining.

Restaurant location
Nestled below the bustling city of Tokyo, Kanagawa Prefecture is as diverse in its environment as its food is delicious; Kanagawa offers Chinese street food and craft beer in Yokohama and fresh seafood from Kamakura and Enoshima, as well as natural beauty and mountainous produce in the hot spring town of Hakone near the base of Mount Fuji.
We strive to be as accurate as possible and keep up with the changing landscape of Japan’s food and travel industries. If you spot any inaccuracies, please send a report.
