Roji Usagi is a cozy restaurant located in Kyoto whose appearance is an old Japanese-style house. Step inside and you’ll feel like you’re visiting your grandmother’s house.
For your breakfast, you can have Japanese traditional dishes: grilled Japanese fish, dashimaki-tamago, two kinds of small dishes, miso soup, rice, and Japanese pickled vegetables.
They also have Roji Usa Curry. It is a home-style Japanese curry in which there are big chunks of vegetables.
For lunch, you can enjoy Rojiuzen. It’s a Kyoto Obanzai home-cooking style plate. For the main dish, you can choose from meat or fish (karaage or grilled sardine). Side dishes use lots of locally-grown vegetables and tofu. A desserts menu is also available.
It’s open from 8 am till 5 pm. You can taste the beautiful seasonality surrounded by a calm and cozy atmosphere with a sense of Japanese traditional culture. Making a reservation before you go is highly recommended.
