Restaurant Details
Nikoniko is a vegetarian Thai restaurant located in Oami, Chiba prefecture. The owner-chef is from Thailand, so you can enjoy authentic Thai dishes here, with no meat used.
For your lunch, there are two kinds of lunch sets: one is for ¥1200 and the other is for ¥1400. You can choose your main dish from 13 options: Thai curry, tom yum soup, and Thai yakisoba (fried noodles). They also have versions of katsu (breaded and deep-fried meat), loco-moco (a Hawaiian style rice dish usually topped with hamburger), and fried “sava,” but all of them are made with soy meat.
All the dishes at Nikoniko use lots of locally-grown vegetables seasoned with Thai herbs and spices, and go very well with rice. The set meal will come with rice, miso soup, two kinds of side dishes, salad, and pickled vegetables.
Nikoniko is located in the residential area of Oami and is recognizable by its red roof. When you stop by, you will feel like you’re visiting your grandmother’s house. If you want to enjoy vegetarian Thai foods in a relaxing atmosphere, Nikoniko is a great option.
