A longstanding restaurant operating since the Edo period, come to Nabejaya to enjoy traditional Japanese cuisine with a geisha performance.

Restaurant Details

Nabejaya was founded in 1846, at the end of the Edo period. The name of the restaurant originates from the fact that the first owner, Tanizaburo Takahashi, started to cook "suppon" (Japanese softshell turtle) in “nabe” hotpot. Since then, the restaurant has preserved its traditional taste, technique, and style for over 170 years.

The restaurant offers a relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. The chefs are dedicated to using the best ingredients and are constantly refining their skills to create the best flavors.

The restaurant also includes the Japanese traditional art form of geisha entertainment in addition to the dining and drinking experience. They have mastered many arts such as dancing, singing, shamisen, and singing, and continue to hone their skills.

Don't miss the chance to enjoy the traditional Japanese cuisine and art in a building with a long history, and remember to make a reservation before your visit as it is required.
