This premium teppanyaki restaurant in Shinjuku is way up on the 51st floor of a skyscraper! Visit in the late evening and enjoy Lost in Translation-esque views across the twinkling cityscape. If you can take your eyes off the sizzling griddle pan, that is.

The chefs flip and spin delicious cuts of premium A5 wagyu beef, vegetables, and seafood to create delicious multi-course meals. The restaurant is originally from Kobe, famously home to the best beef in Japan, and that’s exactly what they’ve been providing at this Shinjuku branch since 1974. The premium seafood offerings include scallops, abalone, prawns, and lobster tail, meaning that pescatarian diners have plenty of delicious offerings to choose from.

Seating is in the form of private rooms with sunken seats around semicircle tables, and a teppanyaki grill in the middle. Book a seat in one of their rooms to enjoy a fantastic, sophisticated grill-fest, looking out over nostalgic cityscape views.
