Minamiyama Kissen
Quality kaiseki needs a warm and welcoming atmosphere — you’ll find that in abundance at this Michelin-starred Nagoya restaurant.
Restaurant Details
The husband and wife team who run this Michelin-starred kaiseki in Nagoya will make you feel right at home from the moment you enter until the moment you leave. In the time between, they’ll serve you an outstanding traditional meal featuring fresh seasonal ingredients purchased that same morning.
One of their specialties is excellent grilled dishes, such as sweetfish, pork, beef, and seasonal vegetables. Each is infused with the unmistakable aroma of Binchotan charcoal — the highest grade in Japan. Seafood also plays an important part, in dishes such as sea urchin soup, and mullet roe over soba noodles.
The meal is served at a leisurely pace to match the guests, giving time to enjoy a relaxing glass of sake alongside each of the courses.
