L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon
Casual fine dining with the Robuchon touch, in Roppongi’s food and entertainment center.
Restaurant Details
The legacy of the late, great Joël Robuchon burns bright in Tokyo, with several fantastic establishments bearing his name. This is the newest of them, housed inside the Roppongi Hills entertainment complex.
The highlight here is an extensive menu of small tapas-like plates, totaling over 20. These are perfect for enjoying alongside a few glasses of wine after work, and feature dishes like snow crab with cocktail sauce and marinated radish, caviar in lobster jelly with cauliflower cream, and Kyoto duck with herb salad and mashed potato. There’s also a daily course menu too, for those who would prefer amore conventional French meal.
However, it’s clear from the moment you walk in that this restaurant isn’t aiming for traditional. The stylish red and black interior feels more like a trendy bar than a gourmet French restaurant — a perfect place to enjoy some late night drinking and dining.
