Hand Made Udon Factory Yoshiya
On a spacious street in Kagawa lies a humble udon-ya run by an early riser.
Restaurant Details
Udon lovers near and far travel to Yoshiya, an independent udon-ya in Kagawa. Unlike other udon shops, Yoshiya doesn't stay open till late — rather, the shop opens as early as 7 in the morning and closes right after lunchtime.
Despite the early opening hours, customers are still seen crowding around the entrance at the break of dawn. There are a variety of udon dishes served, but the most popular ones are hot or cold bukakke udon and a Yoshiya special, the lemon udon.
Other than the actual udon, the rest at Yoshiya is self-service including water and toppings. While there is a parking lot outside of the shop, there's no guarantee for a spot, especially after noon. Guests are advised to come before noon to escape the long lines for lunch.
