Unparalleled hospitality combined with sushi mastery creates an intimate omakase “chef's choice” dining experience.
Eiji Yamamoto's culinary journey began at Akasaka Hozumi, a famous restaurant in Akasaka, Tokyo. He then moved to Roppongi, joining "Sushi Nakamura" to pursue the ultimate Edomae sushi experience. After three decades of honing his skills in Tokyo, Yamamoto returned to his hometown of Ozu in Kumamoto Prefecture and opened Sushiya Sengoku in 2003. In 2019, Yamamoto decided to relocate to Kumamoto City's downtown area, renaming the restaurant "Edomae Sengoku" to showcase his mastered skills.
Indulge in a large selection of drinks that pair well with the omakase sushi, including sake and soft drinks. The counter, made from the same cypress wood as Kumamoto Castle, provides front-row seats to witness Chef Yamamoto’s skill.
