Aoi
Enjoy traditional Japanese dishes at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Okayama where you can taste fresh Japanese seafood and sashimi.
Restaurant Details
Aoi is a Michelin-starred restaurant located in the center of Okayama City. Inside the restaurant, there are only 8 seats at the key-shaped counter, wrapped around the kitchen.
They offer fresh fish dishes such as rice with minced fish. The flavor of the fish has concentrated sweetness and pairs well with warm rice, and their miso soup is warming and full of seasonal mushrooms like nameko mushrooms.
There is also lunch served in an ornate shokado bento box, with three wooden boxes, two types of sashimi on the left, yuba tofu in the middle, and various appetizers on the right.
A few recommended dishes include grilled trout with sweet soybean paste, and cod roe tempura, simmered pea shoots.
If you are going to visit Okayama, don't miss the chance to enjoy Japanese dishes at Aoi!
