A specialty of Akita prefecture’s Yuzawa city, Inaniwa udon has been produced in the area for 400 years, and was even used as an offering to feudal lords and the Imperial household of Japan. A highly-valued gift for prominent officials, Inaniwa udon has an understated appearance yet a rich history.

Tomiya Shoten was the first store in Yuzawa to handle beer, and are proud of their long history as a special distributor of Sapporo Beer. When Yuzawa Station was first built, Tomiya Shoten served beer at the station. In addition to distribution and sales, Tomiya Shoten also sells their own original products, starting with the manufacture and sales of Inaniwa Udon noodles about 50 years ago.
