In this food tour, let a local guide you through the busy shopping streets to selected restaurants where you can try several Japanese foods.
Experience flow:
- Meet your host at Ueno Station and go over the tour itinerary.
- Your first food stop will be a sushi restaurant in Ueno Station. Here, you'll enjoy three pieces of melt-in-your-mouth sushi (tuna, salmon, and boiled shrimp.) Upgrade the experience with refreshing Japanese sake (available with the purchase of a drink package option below).
- Explore the bustling Ameyoko Street on the way to the second restaurant
- At the second food stop, enjoy five pieces of crispy gyoza. Choose from four tempting options: traditional (pork and cabbage), vegetables, cheddar cheese, or boiled gyoza.
- A short 1-minute walk away, you'll arrive at a lively izakaya where your guide will show you the world of yakitori (grilled chicken skewers.) Here, you'll savor three classic skewers: crispy chicken skin, juicy chicken thigh with green onion, and chicken meatballs. Wash it down with a drink of choice: a cold beer, sake, Japanese whisky, shochu or your favorite soft drink.
- The last food stop will be a ramen restaurant where you can slurp classic chicken-based ramen with handmade noodles.

Meet your tour guide outside Ueno’s JR Central Gate. Your guide will be waiting for you near the expansive area map close to the Hard Rock Cafe holding a sign. More detailed information and a Google Maps link will be provided upon booking.
